The team has been taking part in some festivities on the lead-up to Christmas, and whilst we have been enjoying these extras, we can’t help but share a thought of how a large volume of people in our local communities will be having a very different run up to Christmas than we have here, at The Urbanists.

On reviewing the festive team spending, Michelle quickly prompted the calculation of a company donation. As a result, we are pleased to announce that The Urbanists will be supporting The Trussell Trust charity, which is one of the UK’s largest food banks.

Michelle purchased an abundance of essential items, as well as some Christmas treats, that the food banks currently require. As a team last year, we managed to contribute a fantastic 179 items, and this year, we have managed to exceed this and purchase 302 items, all weighing in at 113.4kg.

Over the years, our company has worked on projects in many geographical areas, and it is here that we have noticed how important these small gestures are and how much of a difference they can make to someone’s Christmas.

We are proud to say that we filled 16 carrier bags with essential items and treats, and delivered them to The Trussell Trust’s local depot in Cardiff Bay, where we were met with much appreciation and gratitude for our contribution. If there is ever a time to make kind gestures such as these, it is during the festive period, and we will continue to support our chosen charities through-out 2024.
